Our SaaS solution ‘HYDROGRID Insight’ works as an ‘intelligent autopilot’ (similar to autonomous driving for cars) for hydro power plants and aligns hydro power generation with weather and power market prices in real-time based on our proprietary forecasting and optimization algorithms. HYDROGRID Insight is currently used by hydro operators in 10 countries to save time, fully automate their daily processes while at the same time ensuring environmental compliance and increasing their revenues by up to 50% compared to manual operation. 

Your key goals
  • You develop and steer our company’s technological vision, strategy, and execution in alignment with our company’s key business objectives. 
  • You lead, develop, and further build our world-class software development team, consisting of currently 15 specialists across the areas of Data Science and Machine Learning, Backend, Frontend, UI & UX and DevOps.
  • You ensure alignment of product development roadmap, tech stack & vision with key business goals in close collaboration with internal & external stakeholders.
  • You lead by example with a strong drive and ‘hands on’ mentality and drive the development of our product “HYDROGRID Insight” by overseeing the entire feature lifecycle, from concept to launch. 
  • You ensure that development goals are met on schedule while maintaining high-quality, ‘best practice’ software development standards to enable the rapid scaling of the product and business.
Your profile
  • You have a degree (MSc or higher) in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or similar.
  • You have a demonstrated leadership track record of bringing out the best in others and achieving results with at least 7 years of practical experience in building, leading, managing and scaling agile software development teams and the ability to lead and develop future leaders.
  • You have a strong background in software development (at least 15 years experience) and software architecture principles, and are familiar with technologies relevant to our tech stack, such as Python, SQL/PostgreSQL, Kubernetes & Helm, TypeScript and React.
  • You have experience with industry R&D activities and best practices. 
  • You are familiar with agile development frameworks and have a demonstrated history in implementing them to achieve business objectives and key results in time.  
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are excellent in making decisive decisions in order to align business objectives, resources and technological choices. 
  • A high level of integrity, work ethic and the wish to leave a lasting positive impact on the world is part of your DNA.
  • Business Fluency in English and a valid work permit for Austria are essential.
